Making a blog website from scratch

The What, Where, When, Why, and How (kinda)

  1. Write down what you want to make
  2. Write down why you want to make it (maybe it makes you feel happy, it doesn’t have to sell)
  3. Now figure out the steps to make it. Let’s say for example I just want to put a blog together for fun. For my own pleasure and I don’t expect it to grow.
  4. Start writing. Write as much as you can. Put a writing plan together so you know what you want to write about and what to write first
  5. As you keep publishing, hopefully you get more readers / subscribers
  6. The product matures, now think about either revamping the design or doing more competitive analysis
  7. For design, find someone you like from Behance or Dribble
  8. For competitive analysis, such as SEO, look up Alexa tools
  9. Now if things pick up more maybe you do more email campaigns
  10. And you can add products to sell on your site perhaps. Redefine the desired goals
  11. With enough subscribers you can probably do targeting with personalized landing pages and emails. Designers needed and A/B testing needed.
  12. Analytics will play a bigger part, you can find out where the funnel is dropping off and improve conversions or something
  13. Fix pain points by better UI UX? Change product offerings
  14. Then the most optimal level will be like some machine learning data analytics thing
